WHAT WE’RE ALL ABOUT
MeltLab was founded in 1980 by David Sparkman, a Metallurgical Engineer with a degree from the University of Oklahoma. After a decade of serving successful industry positions such as Foreman, Lab Supervisor, Plant Metallurgist, and Quality Control Manager, he invented the MeltLab thermal analysis system, developing a unique signal processing and smoothing method to translate thermal analysis data into micro-structure information. He also created “GSPC”, an integrated manufacturing graphic statistical process control system. These methods and processes have advanced the Foundry industry by immense measures.
With over 40 years in the business, MeltLab has been consistently revolutionizing the process of Thermal Analysis, helping Foundries produce better, more consistent castings. From measuring shrink to detecting impurities and much more, we have developed an invaluable system that has been tested and proven time after time. We’re proud to be a longtime member of the foundry industry as we continue to improve and advance the science of Thermal Analysis.
